STUDY impact of a nuclear facilty on a canal plant & animal life. Water of the canal is used to cool reactors by entering upstream of the plant and coming out downstream.

  • PERFORM data cleansing & consistency check
  • COMPUTE metrics per variable: seaweed abundance, relative abundance, Shannon index, Pielou’s evenness index, richness, etc.
  • COMPUTE descriptive statistics and display raw observations on plots
  • USE statistical modelling to assess if there is a difference between upstream and downstream of the plant on these metrics
  • EXPLORE data when a significant difference is observed to assess if this difference is due to the plant or to other parameters
